Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site with turquoise waters that is home to over 1,600 islands and islets. Legend has it that dragons descended from heaven spraying fire and jade. They made the bay their home, hence Ha Long Bay or “Bay of the descending dragons.” It is a long climb up to the observation deck of Titop mountain, but the panoramic view of the bay was well worth it. The excellent FE 24-70mm F2.8 G Master lens captured all the detail of Ha Long Bay. The ability to frame a wide-angle shot with such resolution and clarity, did justice to the majesty of the bay. Thanks to the high resolving power of the extreme aspherical glass (XA) element, the jutting rock formations and the long wakes of the boats plying the bay were immaculately presented.
